Scripting Help to Add a Mention

Greetings,

I have a webhook for iTop. Basically, whenever a user support request comes in, it goes to a Rocket.Chat channel. Someone will then assign that request and it too will go to the channel. Here is an example of a message:

Title: Monitor Screen
User: User Name
Assigned To: Tech Name
Status: assigned

What I would like is to add a script to the webhook to identify “Tech Name” and mention that user, add @techname

Is that possible? Is that crazy? Any chance it is relatively easy enough to tell me how?

Hello,

Did you by any chance manage to solve this problem? I am looking at a somewhat similar use case. For me, what I would like to do is to have emails forwarded via a sendgrid webhook onto either a channel but preferrably a department within the omnichannel and then, It would be great if one would respond/reply from rocketchat. Any thoughts on this?

I guess it depends on where you’re writing it. If it’s in general action, then don’t bother. But if you put it in dialogue
