Rocket.Chat Cloud activation emails are not delivered to Gmail

Description

Cloud account registration reaches /register/email-sent, but no activation
email is delivered.
Tested with:

  • Gmail
  • Spam and All Mail checked
  • Multiple resend attempts
  • Magic-link login also does not deliver email
  • Rocket.Chat status page reports all systems operational
    Self-managed workspace:
  • Rocket.Chat 8.6.2
  • Docker deployment
  • Workspace itself is reachable and working
  • cloud.rocket.chat and gateway.rocket.chat are reachable from the server
    Related older issue: #32359
    Support ticket: #115786 returned an automated “no support contract” response.
    Please check outbound email logs and suppression/bounce lists.

It is open source, not free support.

If you use Starter or CE yup, you get what you pay for. Check the licence Ts & Cs.

Note Rocket makes no attempt to check the delivery of emails (because it is the mail servers job)

It is fire & forget.

The answer will lie in your mail server logs.

Same with other domains, cant register to cloud.rocket.chat, activation email never arrived

If you have registration issues don’t use a junk email address.

Gmail, hotmail etc are not permitted and fail silently.

It must be a proper domain.
