LDAP Sync Isn't importing any users

Description

New install of RC and have configured LDAP against AD. Test Connection is successful and Test Search for users is successful. However, when I click Sync Now, it says it is running in the background but no users ever actually sync up.

The Logs ( Gui > Logs ) don’t show anything related to LDAP.

Server Setup Information

  • Version of Rocket.Chat Server: 4.6.2
  • Operating System: Ubuntu 18.04
  • Deployment Method: snap
  • Number of Running Instances: 1

Hi! Please, refer to this documentation:

On CE, the users are added at login time. The sync should sync previously logged users, AFAIK.

The documentation seems to indicate the following for CE:

Basic User Data Sync: Load information from the LDAP user to Rocket.Chat

  • Load Basic User Data from LDAP: Email, name, and username

Wouldn’t that imply you can initially load users from LDAP?
