hello, we have version 3.9.1 installed and we would like to migrate to version 4.0 and newer, I would like to know how to upgrade to a newer version with data retention

Welcome to our community. It will depend on how you have deployed it.

We always suggest docker or k8s. Upgrading those is as easy as changing the image name, pulling and fire up the container again.
