Its a pretty forward question I think.
While preloading is nice sometimes it does also bloat and spam up a chat channel pretty quick.
So it there a way to prevent Rocketchat’s default behavior of preloading links or even better to make it optional when do yo want a link preloaded and not preloaded when you do not want it?

A search here & github will reveal you can’t currently - possibly some fancy CSS/JS might fix it. or build your own…
I have asked the team about it literally yesterday, but not sure that much will be done in a hurry.

Would it be possible to delete / close a link preview?
I think I'm not the only… one who does not want a link preview for every link posted. So deleting it after the post was made would be nice.
Even better would be seeing the preview right while typing the message and being able to close it then. So it would not be appended to the message. (like it is known from Facebook)
