Is it possible?
It seems like the intended way for Slack users to reclaim their migrated usernames on Rocket.Chat is by using the ‘forgot password’ function when signing in. But we don’t have email addresses to send reset links…
Deleting user accounts migrated from Slack and asking them to sign up is not out of the question, but it appears that deleting a user account removes that account’s posts as well, so all messages would disappear too.
Anyone have any advice?
EDIT: please disregard. I can get users’ emails after all so it should just be a straightforward password reset. Sorry. Not sure why Slack’s data export didn’t include them.
