Migration of user data

Hi,

We have LDAP Users on RocketChat. Thus sometimes users change in the AD structure. People get new users because they change departments, what not.

Is there a way, a tool, to migrate user data from one user to a other user? With all settings and message histories?

Hi Torsten,

can you explain what exactly happens to the LDAP attributes when these certain scenarios occur?

Do they get a new GUID when they change departments? Do you change sAMAccountName?

Maybe you can post a diff-like before and after output of the attributes?
