I’m trying to upgrade MongoDB. I was using Bitnami , which was very simple to set up.
I made backups and tried to get things started but this has been a frustrating process.
First off, there isn’t just an 8.0 image or something similar. I had to choose something like “8.0-ubi8-slim” which I am not familiar with and couldn’t find an explanation of on Dockerhub.
Furthermore, this “community” image is missing mongorestore. What is the point of a database image that doesn’t have the most basic tools available?
Remember Rocket is Enterprise software and needs a little Enterprise level reading and knowledge. You are expected to know some basics, or able to learn some.
Have you read all the docs at rocket?
You have effectively said “my car is broken, help me fix it”
How about some detail on your setup so people have some idea where the problem is and how to help you?
We have no idea if you have a native mongo, docker etc.
Start here, but read all of it.
You should also read the mongo docs on upgrading. In particular look for featurecompatibilityas mentioned multiple times here.
