Custom Oauth Discontinued

Hi,

I’m the lead developer of Group-Office (https://www.group-office.com). We use Rocket chat here and some of our customers do. To login we use the Custom OAuth option (Like described here: Rocket Chat — Group-Office documentation) It would be a shame to lose our complete open source chat solution just because custom oauth will be unavailable.
Is there something else possible? What if a Group-Office Oauth plugin is developed? Any tips on how to do this and make it part of the product?

I just checked, and the options is still present at our latest version (4.2.2)

According to here:

Basic Custom Oauth will still be part of CE.

Ps: Didn’t know about Group Office. I will definitely add it to my pet project roadmap:

That’s great. I received a warning inside Rocket chat after login that it will be moved to EE in a future version but hopefully that message was incorrect then!
