Audio/video conferences on mobile app

Hi everyone,

We have a rocket chat server running, and most features are working fine.
The problem we have is related to audio/video conferences on mobile app (version 4.6.4). When joining a video call, there is no sound. Are there any setting I haven’t found that block the audio? We are using a VPN to connect to the server, and messaging works ok.

I have a BigBlueButton server, so I tried the BBB integration. It seems to work on web and desktop clients, but I don’t see any options to join or start a BBB meeting on mobile. Is BigBlueButton working for anyone else on mobile?

Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Regardless which conferencing solution you use (Zoom, WebEx, Polycom, etc.), ask the actors to use the app on their smartphone as it’ll have a MUCH higher bitrate encoder for audio. POTS lines (especially making overseas connections) are something like 50kbps mono audio whereas even on crummy hotel wifi, they should be getting 1-2mbps.
