User registration is disabled for authentication services [registration-disabled-authentication-services]

Description

I am setting up a channel for anonymous read and write. During that i encountered tha issue that I have to activate allow registration with authentication service to make it work. Why is that so? What does that setting even do? Activate registration with Oauth-Clients? What has that to do with anonymous read/write of a channel?
