Turn off auto-join for all groups

I installed it wrong somewhere, I have problems when new users sign up, they complain because the system automatically adds them to channels they don’t like.

1. How to turn off auto join channel with new users (Explanation: They find channel and press “Join” manually).
2. Can channel or group password be set.
