Any additional Information

Hi@all,

I have just installed Rocket.Chat. So I am an absolute beginner. I ask for your indulgence.

I run Rocket.Chat on my local server (standallone mudus). I made the subdomain ‘chat.example.org’ under which Rocket.Chat runs accessible from the internet.

This all works as well. Do I understand correctly that for push notifications on the Android device (via Google Messaging API) this device must be linked to a Google account?

I run my Google devices without a Google account. I only need a few apps that I install as APK.

i have the tutorial how to create the API key for google messaging services. However, I suspect that this only works if the Android device is also linked to a Google account.

I guess then I have to do without push notifications, right?

I wonder how it can work that my Android receives a push via Google(FCM) when the device is not linked to a Google account.

Can this work at all?
