Description

Good day,

First of all, thank you for your product; we are currently testing it. Could you please let us know if there is a possibility to globally disable text formatting (if I’m not mistaken, Markdown is responsible for this)? We do not want to escape our symbols (*, _, and so on).

The text might be distorted as I am using Google Translate.

Version of Rocket.Chat Server: 6.9.3

Can you check your snap version please? I think you should be on 6.11.1 or at least 6.10.4 as your version has a security hole you need to fix.

Used to be this (if you search here) but can’t see that as a setting right now.

ADMIN > Settings > Message > Markdown.

I don’t have this setting in the ‘Message’ section of my settings.

Yup they’ve changed that it seems.

Code highlighting languages list

See markdown in there. Possibly that.

I’d like to give this topic a nudge; two years have passed, and sending paths containing underscores (`_`) still only works via a workaround. Has anyone found a solution? The setting mentioned previously no longer exists, and the “Code to highlight the language list” item unfortunately isn’t related to this issue.
