When in a group chat, the '@' list does not contain people who are in the chat even after typing letters from their name

Issue
Given I am in a chat with “Ged”
When I type ‘@Ged’
Then Ged does not show up on the ‘@’ list

Expected behaviour
Given I am in a chat with “Ged”
When I type ‘@Ged’
Then Ged shows up on the list as I start typing his name followed by ‘@’. E.g. If he is the only person whose name begins with G in the chat, then ‘@G’ bring up Ged in the ‘@’ list.
