HI Team,

Good Day.

Do we steps how to upgrade 4.3.2 to 4.4 (or higher) using Centos7?

Thank you very much

Hi! It will depend on your deployment method.

But a good rule of thumb here is to backup your mongo db, spin up a docker deployment with the same version you are using, restore data, and start migrating.

note that the dump/restore will be necessary, as for newer versions, we are deprecating the mmapv1 storage in favor of wiredTiger:

Hi @dudanogueira

Thank you very much for your reply

However, im not using docker. Can you help me to provide steps using CENTOS7

Hi!

how have you deployed?

Using snaps or manually from tarball?

Please, consider migrating to docker running in centos as this will get you the same environment as the majority of our user base.

I’ve used this link https://docs.rocket.chat/installation/manual-installation/centos before to install our rocketchat

That doc has moved to here:

Installing it from tarbar/manually is the hardest way possible, as you’ll need to take care of all dependencies, node version, etc.

in theory :see_no_evil: this doc here may help you, but a lot can go different:
