Separate AD / LDAP users from external ones

Description

Swedish authorities now have a project to test different systems for digital collaboration tools. I am now testing the features of Rocket.chat.
I have a question if it is possible to divide internal users that are created from our own AD and external users that are created either manually or by a user registering himself?

Among other things, under “Administration → Users” it would be good if you could filter or group internal / external users. Same for the users so they can chatt with all internal users.

Hi.

I think it depends whether you choose to sync users or not, but may require additional work - but a lot of stuff is changing in this area soon. eg note group filtering etc will be moving to EE shortly.
