Ability to create Sub-Channel(s)

Any possibility to create a sub-channel nested under a Parent channel? My thoughts on this. It would be nice to create a knowledge base type channel and sub out different topics under it.

agreed here. Organization would be very helpful.

Our upcoming discussions might be relevant to this? Can fork off conversation into a discussion that is a child of the channel you were just in.

I think this is more like a room>channel. In some organizations, the channels needed to be segmented or categorized (rooms) to group the same department channels (example).

That’s true, but Rocket.Chat is also being used by some as a replacement for Discord. Discord lets you group channels into categories like so:

While this is more categorization than subgrouping, I would really like a way to do something like this for organizational purposes.

Exactly that (discord-style) would be such a big help in organizing the sidebar. It doesn’t even need to be configurable per user.
