### Hi, I have a older install on a linux server. I have to upgrade to 8.x cause the Subscription for 7.13.5 is ending on 01.07.

### But it doesn´t work. After switching to 8.x/stable release i tried `sudo snap refresh rocketchat-server`

I get the following error:

error: snap “rocketchat-server” is not available on stable but is available to install on the
following channels:
candidate snap install --candidate rocketchat-server
beta snap install --beta rocketchat-server
edge snap install --edge rocketchat-server
Please be mindful pre-release channels may include features not completely tested or
implemented. Get more information with ‘snap info rocketchat-server’.

–candidate, --beta and --edge flag is also not working. How can I solve this?

snap info is listing a availability for 8.5.1 from edge to stable

### Server Setup Information

- Version of Rocket.Chat Server: 7.13.5
- Operating System: Ubuntu LTS 24.04
- Deployment Method: snap
- Number of Running Instances: 1

### Any additional Information

Search carefully here & github on how to do this.

> Snaps and upgrades OK so I don’t have to keep writing the SAME thing over and over. First read this about snaps: “Rocket.Chat provides no support for these additional deployment methods” IOW Snaps are no longer supported and YMMV. Next. I don’t believe that snaps will AUTOMATICALLY upgrade the Mongo DB from 7 to 8 inside the snap. IIRC I believe manual intervention is required but I do not have a snap to test with. Check Mongo docs for ‘Feature compatibility’ and look f…
