# The Android app for Rocket.Chat has a dark mode already. Why don't the desktop and web version have a proper one already? It really should be added, as it's an essential feature

Surely, this shouldn’t be that difficult to implement. There were already some tries to make this work, but the developer has abandoned it and it’s now not functional with the latest RC versions:

A dark mode (similar to Discord) is such an essential feature. Can this be added to the main version of Rocket Chat?
