# Photo uploads broken for heic/heif images (iphone)? This normal?

When photo’s are taken in the new heic format supported by ios devices i’m unable to upload these to rocket chat from the ios client, desktop or web. It just says “Error uploading img\_3703.heic”
Is this normal? Any help is greatly appreciated! Been suffering from this problem for a very long time now.

Likewise on WIndows Desktop the preview does not work. The file opens fine in the Photo app.
