# External MongoDB With snaps Ubuntu 18.04

Hello. I am trying to have an external database with the [mongodb.com](http://mongodb.com) cloud

I follow the documentation: [Snaps - Rocket.Chat Docs](https://docs.rocket.chat/quick-start/installing-and-updating/snaps#how-do-i-change-rocket.chat-port-mongo_url-and-mongo_oplog_url-in-my-) snap

But I get an error in console:

error: cannot perform the following tasks:

- Run configure hook of “rocketchat-server” snap (run hook “configure”: “mongodb://USER:PASSWORD@cluster0.rxpvg.mongodb.net:27017/DATABASE?authSource=admin” is not a valid url)

I have tried a lot of combinations. I manage to connect to MongoDb Compass with:  
mongodb+srv://USER:PASSWORD@cluster0.rxpvg.mongodb.net/DATABASE
