# Custom Emojis Storing Location

Where are the images stored when it comes to custom emoji’s? I cannot find the location. I want to copy them to my other system. I have the meteor.tar.gz but i do not see the images. Does anyone know where the images are stored!

They are going to be stored in mongo. If you are moving to a new system you need to follow these steps to export the complete mongo db.

So, we could not find them. What we did was open our Rocket.Chat in Firefox. It will open the custom emoji as a background image/gif. Saved the image/gif and uploaded it to our new rocket.chat. Took a while to get them all but we had the time. 🙂
