# Can't install custom server app

Trying to install custom server app, (enabled in dash) but get the following in the browser console

/client/views/admin/apps/lib/getPermissionsFromZippedApp.js:1 Error: No app.json file found in the zip

Of course I have the said file included in the zip I’m uploading 🙂

### Server Setup Information

- Version of Rocket.Chat Server: 3.12.1
- Operating System: Ubuntu latest Docker
- Deployment Method: Docker
- Number of Running Instances: 1
- DB Replicaset Oplog:
- NodeJS Version:
- MongoDB Version: 4.0.21 / mmapv1 (oplog Enabled)
- Proxy: No - local Docker
- Firewalls involved: None

### Any additional Information

No logs, only browser console output as above.

did you manage a fix ? getting the same issue. Can’t install my own rc app lol
