Attention: You have reached your monthly mobile push limit

For a few hours now, we have been receiving regular warnings that we have reached our limit. But that is not true! According to https://cloud.rocket.chat we are far from reaching our limit. Push notifications (current month) 280 / 10,000. What is going wrong here?

I can confirm this! The Chat bot spammed over 100 Messages this night and some people therefore received so much mails. We are also away from the limit. Maybe we should create a Github issue out of this?

Same. I also got loads of messages about this but have also actually only used 247 / 10,000 !

As you’ve also found, there is one here:

Thanks! So its a general issue. They state its fixed however I still have the “Attention You Have reached…” in the top bar at the client, which I have to click away with multiple clicks. You, too?

Yeah, I had to click that away quite a few times! I wonder if there is a way to stop such notices being pushed to our instances…

Thanks.

Here is a key bit of info:

Even before this mess up I’ve been wanting to disable these notifications and banners so great to know how! (and my Rocket.Chat always gets automatically updated anyway because I’m on Cloudron)

I am still getting these. Maybe I should restart the server?

If you have not reached the cap (aka the message is faulty), you can do an automatic dismissal of the banner, some solutions have been described in this issue. https://github.com/RocketChat/Rocket.Chat/issues/19877#issuecomment-747456044
